Admission Of Staff
Using the staff induction policy we can ensure that all staff are aware of their surroundings, roles and responsibilities and nursery policy procedures.
Appropriate Local and National Guidelines will be given alongside Nursery and policy Handbook.
Our Recruitment and Selection of Staff policy ensures that staff selection is completed appropriately.
Our Management team all have at least 17 years service with the nursery. Our Manager Vicky holds a BA Childhood Paractice qualifation from Strathclyde University, our Depute Manager - Donna holds an SVQ Level 4. Sheila our Admin Manager has been with the nursery for 24 years and takes care of all our admin duties and partnership funding. Our room supervisors Heather, Kerry and Nicola are all SVQ Level 3 qualified.
We pride ourseves on our excellent staff retention. Seventy five percent of our staff have been with the nursery for over six years which allows us to provide continuity of care and establish meaniful relationships with our children, parents and families.
The practitioners role is to plan, organise and deliver activities and create learning experiences for a group of children aged between six weeks to five years.
Practitioners will plan a safe and stimulating programme which will encourage the growth and development of each child.
Practitioners will always strive to provide high standard of childcare.
Within Sinclair Nursery we believe that young people should be given the chance to develop and enhance their skills within early years.
We provide these young people- normally aged between 17-21 the opportunity to work within our environment and learn the skills of a practitioner.
We use reputable training companies to train these assistants on the job to gain their qualifications in early years.
Assistants are supported and mentored regularly by an experienced staff member who is qualified in their role.
They will shadow qualified staff in their role and work within the same guidelines as qualified practitioners.
